A great Pouilly Fume, made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. This grape gives a pale straw colour in appearance, on the nose there is good minerality along with grapefruit and notes of white flowers. Good acidity makes this wine clean crisp wine on the palate, it has bright citrus flavours with a flinty mineralogy. This wine its a very good wine, complex in it flavours, really well made but surprisingly drinkable on a warm summers afternoon.
This is a very flexible wine, try it with anything from Grilled fish, scallops through to roast pork, great with light cheeses i.e. Edam or just on its own.

Domaine Philippe Raimbault
Philippe Raimbault is a 9th generation winemaker. His family have been making outstanding wines since 1701. He has been learning his craft since the age of 10, working closely with his grandfather and father for many years until he decided he wanted to make wines completely by himself after his father retired. They produce wines in three appellation only from their own grapes. The càve and Sancerre vines are in our village of Sury en Vaux, about 6km from Sancerre. Pouilly Fumé vines are just the other side of the Loire River. The third appelation is Coteaux du Giennois, which is about 15km from our Pouilly Fumé vines. We have 16 hectares in total.
Philippe is an award winning, hands-on, driven and passionate winemaker, striving to make the best wines possible. He has 18 years experience working alone creating fabulous wines. This skill shows as his wines are found in several Michelin stared restaurants.
