Filipetti Prosecco is a light refreshing sparkling wine, great to drink or to celebrate with. An easy drinking prosecco and loads of little bubbles. On the nose this offers a light very fresh wine. On the palate you will find pleasant fruity notes, pear, sweet apple and melon. this then leads to a well balanced wine with great acidity but soft and full with good length. This is a dry wine.
Food Matching: Best known as a drink to celebrate with but it is ideal as an apéritif or with hors d’oeuvres. Try this with light and delicate fish dishes. Great in Cocktails or as a Belini mixed with our great Black Shuck Liqueurs. Or just with good friends where you can look very grand! Serve well chilled, 9-11°C.
Grape: Glera – This was originally known as the Prosecco Grape and were believed to have originated around the village of Prosecco. This also gave its name to the sparkling wine. This all became very confusing with the grapes being produced from a much wider area and in 1990 the DOCG decided that the grapes were to be known by the synonym Glera.

Prosecco is produced using the Charmat method in which the secondary fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. This process makes Prosecco an incredible joyful wine to drink young and fresh.
