Cognac Frapin is located in the Grande Champagne region of Cognac. It is a little over 300 hectares and is the largest single estate in the region. Now owned by the Cointreau family. The families involvement in the wine and spirits business can be traced to around 1270. They established themselves in the region initially as a family of wine-growers before becoming distillers and they have continued in this tradition for 20 generations.
The Grande Champagne region produces the very best cognacs. They are rich, intense and flavoursome with fantastic ageing potential. Frapin’s house style echoes these characteristics. These wonderful aromatic blends are created by taking great care at every stage of production. This ensures that each spirit is matured in cellars best suited to each blend and to ensure that it reaches its full potential. This level of quality can only be achieved by 100% control over every part of production. Production is kept to small quantities concentrating on quality over quantity.
