The WAKEFIELD PROMISED LAND UNWOODED CHARDONNAY 2015 has fresh, lifted aromas of yellow peach, along with some subtle tropical fruit characters and a touch of lemony citrus. There is a refreshing, tight acidity and a lovely clean finish. It is an easy drinking, ‘any occasion’ wine that is enjoyable on its own or partnered with a fresh Spring salad.
Produced in Clare Valley, South Australia which is about 60 miles north of Adelaide. This is a fairly new wine growing region but its quality is starting to show through. The owners and wine makers, the Taylor family referred to their original vineyard estate as being the Promised Land due to the quality and promise of its rich fertile soils. The Promised Land ranges of wines, sourced from across Australia’s finest wine regions, are made in a style that is immediately approachable but with a hallmark of quality that is unmistakable.
