The Winbirri Vineyards Bacchus 2016 White Wine Case is a mixed case of the exceptional award winning Winbirri White Wines. The case contains 6 bottles of wine, 2 each as follows:
Winbirri Vineyards Bacchus 2016 – Bacchus is often described as the English Sauvignon Blanc, this is true of the sweetness level. On the nose there are distinct floral notes leading to clean floral flavours on the palate and a distinct elderflower flavour on the finish. This is a great wine.Treat this like Sauvignon Blanc, a treat with Goats Cheese and sea food.
GRAPE VARIETY – 100% Bacchus
(This wine is in very short supply after winning the Decanter Award for being the best white wine in the world for the 2015 and is not available individually)
Winbirri Vinyards Solaris – is a dry crisp white wine with intense aromas. Refreshing and clean on the palate with a light floral finish. For those looking for the first time at this grape the sweetness level is similar to that of Pinot Grigio. This is great with fish or shellfish, especially with a rich sauce.
GRAPE VARIETIES – 100% Solaris
Winbirri Vineyards Insignia – A refreshing light red wine that with lots of black fruit flavours, some time spent in oak baroques. Fantastic with red meat dishes, something a little lighter, Port or Lamb would be a great combination. Please do not tell the purists but I think that this would be very nice we a bit of chilling for a summer afternoon in the garden!
GRAPE VARIETIES – Dornfelder (45%), Rondo (45%) and Regent (10%). Proportions vary according to the vintage.
