The Winbirri Vintage Reserve Sparkling Brut is a dry crisp sparkling wine that is just like a good Champagne, made in the classic way using the same grape variety. Pale gold with lots of tiny bubbles, a sure sign of quality. On the nose there is green apples and a hint of biscuits that is so characteristic with this style of wine. On the palate there are dry clean crispness and green apple flavours with a hint of biscuit. This then leads to a long well balanced finish.
This is great with sea food, shell fish but it is so good you can use it to celebrate but don’t tell your guests!
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier.

Winbirri Wines are based in Surlingham, Norfolk. A sleepy unassuming village that dates back to Saxon times. You will find Lee Dyer and his father Steve running a small but extremely high quality wine business. From their farming traditions Steve planted a few vines to ‘See what they would do” and 8 years later we have the answer! Winbirri Wines is now run by Lee and they now have 25 acres under vine with a steadily growing output approaching 80,000 bottles per year. Over the years they have impressed the Judges at both the English and Welsh Wine Awards and the East Anglia Wine Awards with an aray of awards over the years and last year the Bacchus was voted in the top 20 Bacchus in the country.
Often asked where the name originates, it is from the Saxon words, Win meaning Wine and a Birri is an orchard.
